Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Katie is about to begin kindergarten,
and I've been wanting to spend some good
quality time with her. I've been wanting
to snap lots and lots of photos to document
this special time in her life.

Her endless days watching her brothers
come and go from school will be no more,
she will now be tagging along too. The little
girl we once knew is now growing up, and
is little no more.

We spent hours of time going through oodles
and oodles of clothes. We gathered shoes, jewelry,
and sunglasses too. We packed it all up and headed
up to the river with the camera in tow.

We went through many outfit changes, and she became
quite the model, needing no direction from moi.
This was so much fun, and indeed validates that Yes -
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

In her own Punky Brewster style, she wanted to wear one shoe of each color.
so unique, i triple love.

And you would think after all those shots, and many outfit
changes the little Diva would be tired, but she wanted more.

And when you have four brothers, you gotta show your tough.
And this gives that little message.

I think she really means it.

Much laughter was had, memories were made.
As the day came to an end, this little princess
was tired. So precious.

Go ahead Kate - grow up, be tough, and carry your own unique style.
You can go ahead and grow up all you want, but you will always be little to us.
