We are starting this post off with a little Garth ... and I have a funny story to share.
My dear friend Zoe from France is recovering from back surgery, and while she has been a little far from her family in a rehabilitation center, we have had lots of time to talk, almost every day. And as all phones have the call history, mine was left up, and when I left the house the other day, buttons got pressed on the phone .. and my phone called her, WITHOUT me knowing.
It was a good day, the sun was shining, I was heading towards the Mall, and It was just one of those days .. you know .. We get into the car, turn on the stereo, and you sing your lil' heart out cause you totally know you're way better then the person singing.
So my dear friend got a little concert by yours truly. Oh la la. I had no idea, until I hear my phone beep with a message, letting me know how lovely it was. Can you say embarrassing! So, the next time I want to sing along to Garth or whomever, I will double check my phone. .
Just trying to help y'all out, consider this a public service announcement to check your phone too. And indeed, a true friend she is, cause she sat and listened all the way.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this?
The new season has arrived. The crunchy leaves are all over. The pumpkins are adorning all the neighboring porches and the weather is not sure what it wants to do quite yet, but what I do know is we have had some beautiful mornings.
And on those chilly Saturday mornings there is no better way then to start it then
with homemade blueberry muffins ..
and when the skies look like this ..
we know its a great day for this.
Baseball days are always the same .. We pull into the dirt parking lot, and tackle the trunk to pull out the chairs from the car, and we walk with with our loot feeling a little weighed down, and we search for the field where the faces are recognizable, and we settle in ...
and we play ..
in between innings, the baby keeps us entertained ..
we also make wishes ...
and special moments are spent between the oldest & youngest ..
and we dance ..
and they pose when I tell them to.
Baseball is much, much more then just baseball in our family.
And because we just can't get enough, we all pile into the local Dairy Queen.
I really think there are no words. These photos speak it all.
A crazy bunch we are, and if you were in that Dairy Queen,
you would have noticed we were there. But between the kids
getting a little rowdy, extra large zuchinnis being craddled
and toliet seat cushions being given for a birthday gift,
we were together, and we were smiling .. and at the end of
the day .. thats all that matters.
And tomorrow the little brother is getting married ..
The family will re-join and next week I will let the photos speak the story ...
Sing Loud, Live Happily .. and take your family to Dairy Queen!
