June has been welcomed with open arms.
With it's abundant sunshine, I am jumping for joy.
The temperatures are warming up. The sunglasses are
drifting throughout the house, I have flip flops
at the front door and on the back patio. The tanks
are freshly laundered, and I'm soaking this up.
This is my time of the year, and I have all the angel
kisses to prove it. Me and the sun, we have a thing.
And the beauty of this blue sky, I'm drinking up every last drip.
The grass is greener, the birds are happier, and
these flowers are just glowing.
So much beauty in the smallest of things .....
you just gotta look for them.
Tucked in our backyard, with just a short drive away, we are
blessed to be taken into what seems like a whole different
world. We can go where there is no traffic, we can
go where there are no stop lights. We can go into the beauty
of the world, when you can just be. Not another soul around
for miles, where you are surrounded by nothing but the beauty.
This is exactly where the husband wanted to go for his birthday.
Just the two of us, a blanket, and a picnic lunch.
It was simply perfect.
Happy Birthday Wy.
Schools Out, and we had a big
Graduation celebration this week.
How this lil' Dude as I used to call him,
has graduated from elementary school is beyond me.
The time is bitter sweet. We all are so proud
of the great young man he is becoming, although we
wish we could bottle him up into the little guy he
has always been.
As our family took up the entire front row at his
ceremony, we could not have been prouder. We watched
that PowerPoint presentation of all the kids as they
were babies, and we were reminded that our Gage was
just this lil' guy not too long ago ..
And we are so proud of what he has become.
As his named was called, and all the shouts from
the front row were beamed, he accepted that certificate
He took in all the praises, and kisses too!
We are so proud of you Gage!
In the end of it all though, we know that no matter
how old you get, you will always be the same Gage to us.
I hope in this weekend, you can go out and find
some beauty! Wether it be on the smile of
your graduate, a flower in your backyard,
or those trusty sunglasses while you soak up the sun.
Find it, enjoy it, and do it all over again tomorrow.
