Almost two months to the day since I have last blogged.
Time slips away faster and faster as I get older.
I don't know how that happens, but make it stop already.
A whole hella-of-a-lot of stuff has been whirling around
in my little world.
We returned home from our fabulous trip to Naples at the end of
September, and we were just getting over the fact that vacation
is such that, a vacation. Our dreams of making vacation life
our regular life were just fading. Then we moved ..
Got a place a little more out of the hustle & bustle.
We landed just in time to take in the beautiful colors.
And we get visitors here. Especially in the early mornings and late
at night. Sometimes they are alone, and sometimes they bring their
whole family. We are always welcoming.
As we are still trying to get settled in, and unpacked, I took some
time this weekend to empty my camera from the last eight weeks. I made
a makeshift computer station at the table where the light was plenty.
I smiled and laughed as I looked through them all.
Lets push that Rewind button .....
Fall Ball came and went.
Pop-Fly's were caught and applauded.
And I was secretly excited I had the camera
out and ready at that exact moment.
In between games, hearty burgers were inhaled.
And photo ops were given to appease their favorite Auntie.
Wandering eyes were there to scour the crowd, to know
they had their cheering squad there.
And indeed, we always have a cheering section at those fields.
And this photo, I love. This boy will always make you smile.
Whether you are from afar or not, it never fails.
I wish I could bottle him up, and keep him this way forever.
And its rare to catch this guy off the field during games,
so I took the opportunity.
And Halloween was celebrated ...
We had a bright blue eyed little Dorothy
who was ready to really experience her
first go around.
And you try to get 6 kids all in the same place at once,
well it doesn't work very well, and I came out with this.
You get the idea anyway.
And .. I went to my first ever basketball game.
And an exciting one at that.
Gage #12, yup . He's one of ours.
And on Turkey day, we had lots of Turkey.
And Dad didn't leave not one empty spot on that plate.
Alyssa was all smiles.
Mr Happiness shows off handmade turkeys ..
And really, isn't this what its all about?
And the oldest & youngest had their smiles.
Birthdays came and went.
Dad turned the big 60!
Lindsay is now officially a quarter of a century.
A whole 25.
She loves our singing. She really secretly does.
I think she liked her gift!
Oh yes. Yes, we pile the entire
clan into the Olive Garden. They usually
give us our own room. Wonder why?
And last Sunday, I actually had the time to pick up the paper.
With the move, and a heavy work schedule, its normal to have those
papers stacked up for 4 or 5 days at a time. But on this day, I got to it.
Its a good thing I did.
Its kinda a big deal to make the honor role.
I'm so proud of you Gage, and all your hard work!
And so there you go. A whole 2 months all totaled up into
a little blog post. I left a whole lot out, but I had to start
somewhere. And I solemnly swear to do better. The camera
is empty awaiting more memories.
And as if I wasn't tired of unpacking already, its now time to go unpack
some Christmas decorations!
Fa La La. Fa La freakin La.
